Cheers! I am Quincy Chapman, M.S., recently relocated from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Salt Lake City. I am honored to serve as the newly elected President of the Northern Utah PMI Chapter for the 2023-2025 term.  I have an extensive background in the energy field, where I discovered my aptitude for leadership, strategy, and project management. Along with a Master of Science in Energy Management (2018), I have held a PMP certification for a decade. In addition, I hold the following certifications:  PMP, PMI- ACP, LPM, Consultant, Lean Six Sigma, Change Management, Built Environment Pro, Leadership and Management, Strategic Foresight, Artificial Intelligence, and Economic Development.

As a 15-year PMI member I have actively honed my skills in project/program management, strategic mapping, and leadership; as well as the many hard and soft skills that produce a solid project management specialist. I am excited about bringing what I have learned as a general PMI member, VP of Programs, and most recently, VP of Professional Development in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

My vision for the PMI Northern Utah Chapter begins with strengthening and empowering the project management community and workforce, which involves taking measures to enhance the skills, knowledge, and resources available to project managers and professionals in this field. The aim is to support member growth, improve project outcomes, and promote the practice of effective project management.

My goals as president are aligned with our chapter goals: to increase member participation by 5% along with member engagement, to provide educational networking opportunities, increase awareness of PMI (local and national chapter), and increase volunteer opportunities and recognition. Additionally, I am committed to improving gender, age, and race-related diversity. This can all be accomplished by achieving organizational transformation, striving for operational excellence, facilitating creative strategic thinking and a deep and authentic dedication to stakeholder needs.

I look forward to partnering with each of you to continue to improve the trajectory of the Northern Utah PMI Chapter.
