Abstract
From Fear to Fluency: AI Confident Project Managers
AI is moving fast, and many project managers feel left behind. This session unpacks the roots of AI anxiety and imposter syndrome, challenges the myth that "everyone else gets it," and reframes curiosity as your greatest strategic edge. Through hands-on experimentation and real-world frameworks, attendees will walk away with a mindset shift, actionable steps, and the 4 human skills AI can never replace.
This session reframes that fear. Using a live experiment in probability and Gen AI behavior, attendees discover that AI produces statistically likely answers, not contextually intelligent ones.
The human edge lies in Strategic Inquiry, Contextual Intelligence, and the four core skills no model can replicate: Relationship Orchestration, Contextual Translation, Strategic Interrogation, and Executive Judgement.
Attendees leave with a concrete framework to shift from AI avoidance to AI amplification -- one small experiment at a time.
Learning Outcomes
- AI produces the most statistically likely answer, your edge is asking the question no one else is asking.
- The four skills AI cannot replicate: Relationship Orchestration, Contextual Translation, Strategic Interrogation, Executive Judgement.
- You are not just an AI user, every interaction trains the model.
- The AI Trap: output that looks like work is not the same as PM judgment, you are still accountable.
- Continuous Shift from fixed to growth mindset: "not for me" vs. "not yet", one word, the entire upgrade.
